About Me
I worked in AI data services, customer success and technical support: tagging personal data, checking the quality of other people's labels, keeping things GDPR-clean. That work made me curious about what happens after the data is tidy, so I started learning to code. No computer science degree here. I learn by doing, by asking a lot of questions, and by admitting when I have no idea.
Creativity
I paint in gouache, heavily influenced by Studio Ghibli, and I grew up in music: piano, accordion and singing at the Music School of Pallini. I also write fantasy, the kind where the world gets built long before the plot does.
Citizen Science
Folding@home runs in the background on my machine (2,434,973 points, 139 work units, rank #257,836), and on Stall Catchers I sort through brain blood flow videos for Alzheimer's research. These two are what pushed me toward computational biology and neuroscience in the first place.

Where I'm Headed
What keeps pulling me in is the overlap between data, biology and open science. Eventually I'd like to work on things that help people read the brain, make sense of genetic data, or simply make healthcare a little better. Connectomics, neuroimaging and machine learning in medicine are the corners I keep reading about. For now it's one commit at a time, with the citizen science crowd keeping me motivated.
